MIX PORTFOLIO
The following tracks are samples of my work that I have chosen to show a breadth of experience with different genres. Some of them are professionally recorded and radio-ready. Others have been recorded by the artists themselves with varying degrees of technology.

Guitar Pop
This studio recorded song is a slow-tempo guitar pop song with female vocals, live drums, keyboards, and a few layers of soundscapes added by producer, Warren Huart. I added some elements included the reversed cymbal hits coming into the chorus. This does not have any drum samples as I felt the sound I could get from the well recorded live drums suited the song.
Pop Punk
Recorded by Cameron Webb, this is a classic California Skate-Punk song. Lots of guitars, cool screaming vocals, and big choruses, with some interesting elements as well. Production touches here include panning sweeps on guitar slides and lots of automation to keep things interesting on multiple listens. The breakdown includes a sneaky gunshot sample behind the snare for added (but subtle) effect.
Smooth R&B
Slow and smoky keyboard driven song with a great deep whiskey soaked voice. This professionally recorded song called out for the classic smoked filled room vibe (do they exist anymore?) soaking through the track. The drums have some augmentation with samples to give the thickness the song calls for, without loosing the great feel of the original recording. The soaring sax solo parts in the second half of the song show how automation of levels and reverbs can help bring parts in and out to flow with the guitars and keyboards, and provide interest to the listener.
